- Merchandise imports from high-income economies > % of total merchandise imports: Merchandise imports from high-income economies are the sum of merchandise imports by the reporting economy from high-income economies according to the World Bank classification of economies as of July 1, 2009. Data are expressed as a percentage of total merchandise imports by the economy. Data are computed only if at least half of the economies in the partner country group had non-missing data."
- Merchandise imports from third world economies in East Asia and Pacific > % of total merchandise imp: Merchandise imports from third world economies in East Asia and Pacific are the sum of merchandise imports by the reporting economy from third world economies in the East Asia and Pacific region according to the World Bank classification of economies as of July 1, 2009. - Spending on imports: Imports of goods and services represent the value of all goods and other market services received from the rest of the world. They include the value of merchandise, freight, insurance, transport, travel, royalties, license fees, and other services, such as communication, construction, financial, information, business, personal, and government services. They exclude compensation of employees and investment income (formerly called factor services) and transfer payments."
